Remote Management was created by stepe36
Draytek Vigor2830Vn-plus
The router has been set up for remote management. A supplier needs to access the router for remote management. I also need to access the router for remote management.
The supplier has taken two IP address on the Access List. I have taken the third IP address on the Access List. There are three available spaces to enter an IP address on the remote access list.
However, I need to access the router from more than one location e.g. home , different offices.
Can the router be configured to allow remote access from more than three IP address.
Thanks
Steve

Hi, just had a look in the CLI with the mgnt command but it appears to only support index 1-3, so no more than 3 can be added.
Alternatively could you setup a VPN server on the router and dial in when you need to manage it?

Hi adriandaz
Thanks for your reply
Not sure how to set a "VPN server on the router".

Thanks

Just thought it may not work anyway due to the 3 remote management IPs been in use, unless each time you wanted to manage it you connected to the router via VPN

I'll give it a go.
I will set up a VPN and then use the router IP to access the router itself for remote management.
Thanks. I will see if it works.
