Vigor 2850 VDSL failed to connect was created by puregeordie
Hi, As per title I have just had BT come out and install fibre and it all works with the white modem and BT's own hub3 but just wanted to get it working with this router and it just will not connect successfully.
I have gone through and setup accordingly using thesehttp://www.draytek.co.uk/support/kb/kb_vigor_v2850_setup.html instructions and it connects briefly for about 30 secs then disconnects and it doesn't re-connect :(
I have setup VLAN ID 101 (don't know what that does) and gone thorugh the instructions as its straight forward but it just doesn't work for me. Anybody have any ideas please.
Thanks.

I have it working using the white modem and connecting via wan 2, Also switching off the vlan setting, Not sure why it doesn't work straight through the VDSL port?
Any ideas?

at this page you mentioned http://www.draytek.co.uk/support/kb/kb_vigor_v2850_setup.html
can you try second pic at PPPOE and set MTU to 1492 (max) and then add at password the user name and pass of your BT account? also set ip to dynamic
Then wan internet access to always on
If still not works just add your phone number at username and leave pass blank or add the ones from HH3 (pass & user name
you can also check at vdsl settings to be all at automatic
