[2820n] use of WAN2 was created by dottedquad
I'm thinking through the issues involved in changing ISP from my up to 8Mbps ADSL to an ISP which provides high-speed, symmetric, WiFi-based internet access. The service package I would like to get offers 32Mbps (16Mbps download + 16Mbps upload) access.
Can my Vigor 2820n provide access at those speeds via the WAN2 port?
How should the 2820n be configured to access the internet via WAN2 (with WAN1 disabled) retaining the current IP network range of my home lan (192.168.1.1-254) and continue to act as a DHCP server?
Are there any other potential gotchas?
Router info:
Model Name : Vigor2820n
Firmware Version : 3.3.7.3_232201
Build Date/Time : Sep 13 2012 19:09:39
ADSL Firmware Version : 232201_A Hardware: Annex A

Hi
I am only posting to confirm that the 2820 has a firewall up to 50Mb so it will get these speeds
But 16+16 upload is it a bonded line?If yes then you need to contact draytek because not sure if the 2820 can do that
About how to set up wan 2 (if is bonded not sure) but via normal adsl line you can do it via pppoe & set the supplied isp modem to bridged mode
Or via static/dynamic ip is possible as well

Good news.
Draytek support have confirmed that the 2820n can do what I asked about:

Thanks for your email. The WAN2 Port can support speeds of up to around 50Mbps. For you other question if you use WAN2 the 2820 will still remain the DHCP server if you have it enabled.
