I have WAN1 on a BT Business line and WAN2 on a TalkTalk domestic line operating via a 2850 router.

Problem: I have a TalkTalk YouView box which auto updates every night but invariably uses WAN1 (the BT line) despite my actions below to try force it to use WAN2. The net result is that it updates my box with BT Vision settings that will not work - ie I lose the TalkTalk options and instead have BT ones. The only fix I can find is to manually unplug WAN1 and force an update from the box and then all goes back to TalkTalk.

I have tried setting under WAN>Load-Balance Policy: enable/ Protocol: Any / WAN2 / Src IP Start: 192.168.0.24 / Srp IP End: 192.168.0.24 where 192.168.0.24 is the IP address of the TalkTalk box BUT this does not seem to make any difference!

Any ideas or just keep using the 'unplug' method!

that should be all you need to do, can you create a syslog and under call see if the rule is taking effect. It should say something like {FIX} 192.168.0.24 > Destination IP - Go WAN2

As you can see it is not exclusively using WAN 2 despite the rule I have set for IP 192.168.0.24 and have just checked again this morning and it updated via WAN1 so Im back to BT Vision!!

that's still Auto Load balancing by the look of it.
I have a 2850 but its now dual wan so I can test but I will jump on it and see if there is anything I can see.

have you unticked the "Auto failover to other"

try using a firewall filter rule to do the load balance instead? I don't know if they work off of the same system or different but they achieve the same thing, maybe it works better?
