2850n randomly restarting was created by kinsy
Hi,
Have a 2850n, firmware 3.6.3, configured with ADSL. Serves a hotel with public WiFi across another 5-6 repeaters, as well as a private prioritised network for a specific customer of the hotel, segregated by VLAN.
Recently moved it from a cupboard to the server room as _someone_ had pressed the factory reset button and it had lost all it's settings. Had been up for 3 months up until then.
Now it reboots every 5mins-4hrs! Nothing in logs to give me any clues.
The phone line has an extension cord plugged in, and the router is powered via a wall socket. In the cupboard it was right next to the phone socket so didn't need the extension, otherwise the setup is exactly the same.
Any ideas?

Turned the Firewall off as suggested in some threads and it's been up for 9 hours overnight. Seemed to restart regardless of load, so fingers crossed it was a firewall setting.

interesting that that fixed it - I also recommend having a look at this thread and contact support to see if they can give you that firmware too:

It rebooted itself 5mins after posting!
Im on site now and have removed the telephone extension cable and plugged it into a surge protector. Hopefully it will start to behave today!

Have obtained beta firmware from above thread and it's been up over 20 hours today - looks like one of the hotel guests/conference delegates had a HTC One X!
I've now though lost the ability to use the web management console over the web - locally it works fine, remotely I can see the login screen, if i type in incorrect credentials it gives me username/password error, if I type in correct ones it dumps me back to the login page with no error message?
Luckily telnet still works otherwise I'd be pulling my hair out today.
