Vigor 2850 rebooting multiple times per day was created by wildwalker
Hello All,
I have just bought a Vigor 2850VN to replace my Vigor 2600P, the reason is that I am having Fibre installed next month, and wanted to get all the router configuration pain out of the way first. Anyway the router is rebooting every 15 minutes to a couple of hours.
Some information:
ISP is Zen (I have fixed IP with a small subnet range)
Firewall rules none
4 SSIDs configured with TKIP for WPA/AES for WPA2
NAT/DMZ host configured
ADSL: 0:38 VPI/VCI Multimode PPPoA
WAN Port 2 set to LAN4
Syslog set to write to USB
The last reboot I got an email saying Vigor2850VN Lan one had gone down, the Syslog for that minute is here:
http://folder.cameraangle.co.uk/1613.txt
Any help grealy appreciated.
Alan.

Have not look the syslog because i dont understand a lot about it but ... There is a thread here with 3.6.3 firmware having issues i think with phones using android software, causing reboots

So may need contact support to give you a beta
If you dont have 3.6.3 firmware and your adsl connection fails may need contact them again

I think it is 3.6.3, I will have a look (switched it off for now)
Android devices, I have around 8 connected (everyone in the house has a phone and a tablet) so I could try it without the wireless I guess.
Thank you.

Okay My mistake, the firmware version is 3.6.2_232201
I connected the router back up today, and it has lost ALL of its settings, not very impressed. I have literally just turned it on, I have disabled wireless access, and will see what the uptime is like.

Ask support for the latest Beta firmware.
I think it's more to do with the DHCP Service having problems with Android phones causing the reboots.
The 2850n I'm having problems with is in a hotel running multiple VLANs and a lot of APs. I tried turning off the router's WLAN to see if it made it stable with 3.6.2 firmware and it still kept rebooting.
Put the 3.6.3 Beta on and it stays up (but after a while stops handing out DHCP addresses!!!). Also the remote management interface doesn't work over the web.
