2850n 4/WAN ethernet settings was created by splinterbox
Hi,
I have just bought a 2850n. It was no problem to setup and get all LAN and WLAN connections working fine, with just one exception. I seem to be unable to get the ethernet port marked 4/WAN to work as a normal LAN port, whatever ethernet cable I plug in - the 2850n has 4 ports in all, I need to connect to 3 PC's and 1 NAS box - I can't get the connection working. Am I missing something in the configuration process? Do I need to switch 4/WAN to function as a LAN port?
I would appreciate some help here!
Regards, Splinterbox

I am not sure if you need switch and never used mine but can you disable WAN >> General Setup .>>wan 2 >> enable NO and see if will work?
If you have the beta untick and the load balance box
I will try some time later with mine try connect it at my pc but there is my cable connection at the moment and the family using it

Hi babis3g, You nailed it in one! Thanks a lot. Seems that the default config for WAN2 is set to enabled, preventing its use as a LAN port. Once again thanks, splinterbox
