2710n Remote Access problem was created by hothouse
Hi,
I'm experiencing a problem with a 2710n. At present, remote access to our office server is possible through our battered old Netgear router, which frequently loses connection. We were sent a 2710n to replace it, and while the connection seems faster and more reliable, gaining remote access from off-site to our office server is proving difficult to achieve. Our telecoms provider (who sent the router) has been unhelpful, maintaining that they are 'not an IT company' so it isn't their problem - they've suggested simply setting up TeamViewer on the server, a solution which isn't right for us. We had asked them to open up ports so we could access the Filemaker server from off-site and they were unable to do it. Sorry if I've not provided enough information, please ask if you need to know more - the saga's been running on for months now so there's probably a stack of information I've forgotten to include!
Thanks
Matt
