Outgoing FW not working / NO LAN to WAN traffic in logs was created by softek
Hi,
We have a very strange issue with a 2820Vn that Draytek support are so far unable to help with since upgrading to the 3.3.7.3 firmware.
1. The outgoing firewall is not blocking ANYTHING. If I block everything from LAN to WAN it simply doesnt do anything.. Incoming NAT / firewall is working just fine.
2. In the Syslogs I can see traffic BUT all there is no traffic going from LAN >> WAN.. Outgoing traffic from internal IP's on 10.0.0.x to 38.101.151.49 for example is shown as:
LAN/RT/VPN -> LAN/RT/VPN
rather than the expected;
LAN/RT/VPN -> WAN
Its a Vigor2820Vn with Firmware Version : 3.3.7.3_2471201
Build Date/Time : Sep 13 2012 19:12:46
ADSL Firmware Version : 2471201_A Hardware: Annex A
We have a single ADSL connection right now & Draytek support have checked out the config and it seems ok.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Just one more thing...
In the Syslogs the INCOMING traffic also doesnt state WAN -> LAN either... It simply says:
FW_Session Pass (IP of external host) > (IP of internal host)
Odd.

Hi ... just a thought ... did you upgraded via this method ? and using *rst* file?
Also the latest firmware is 3.3.7.4 if you want to give a try but again will suggest to use *rst* file (will delete everything including settings)
MPORTANT NOTE: Do not upgrade directly from 3.3.5 (and earlier) to 3.3.7.3.
Due to differences in the Web UI and functionality the router MUST first be
upgraded to 3.3.5.2 prior to upgrading to 3.3.7.3.
Upgrade your router to Version 3.3.5.2 first, and afterward upgrade the router
to Version 3.3.7.3.

A downgrade to 3.3.5.2_232201 fixed all the issues...
