Well I ended up with a Draytek 2850n and I'm trying to get IPv6 going. I've got it setup on WAN2 which means I have a PPPoE session from the Draytek router via the BT modem, i.e. I am not using the vDSL port.
My ISP is providing a /63, i.e. two LAN blocks.
When I have PPP enabled for IPv6, I get the following:
LAN Status IP Address
2A01:2C0:E:37:21D:AAFF:FEAD:5F68/64 (Global)
FE80::21D:AAFF:FEAD:5F68/64 (Link)
WAN2 IPv6
2A01:2C0:E:36:21D:AAFF:FEAD:5F6A/128 (Global)
FE80::1D:AAFF:FEAD:5F6A/128 (Link)
Gateway IP
FE80::203:97FF:FE19:4000
As you can see am getting an IPv6 address on the WAN of 2A01:2C0:E:36:21D:AAFF:FEAD:5F6A/128 - I then create a 2A01:2C0:E:36::1/64 on the LAN interface. All good so far.
This should then allow my other /64 to be routed i.e. 2A01:2C0:E:37::/64 via my internal network to the DMZ which was the case before installing the Draytek, however the Draytek is putting an auto conf IPv6 on the LAN as well which means I can't route that /64 (as it thinks it is connected)
For now I have to manually remove the IP 2A01:2C0:E:37:21D:AAFF:FEAD:5F68/64 from the Draytek LAN port to allow my existing internal IPv6 space to route out
Is there away to stop the Draytek doing IPv6 auto configuration?
Cheers
