Sorry is not working for you ... as mentioned the above adjustments mtu change of modem code MTU etc plus most disable all wans apart the wan 2 for VM - not just disconnect the wan 1 ethernet or just disconnect the usb stick ... was giving me the full speed of 105MB out of 100
For your case using more applications if you can swap it for a 2860 will be much better the little extra money on top

Hi Babis,
I've decided to order the 2680n, and hope that will solve my problems. I was going to order a Cisco gigabit switch anyway for the 2850n, but since the 2860n will give me an extra 3 lan ports I haven't lost that much money.
Thanks again for your help.
Regards,
James

Just an update...
I've setup the 2860n and all is working fine now. I had to upgrade the firmware to 3.7.4RC to get the full WAN 2 speeds, but now with everything connected including a USB hub I get the following speeds:

(124Mb/s downlod and 12Mb/s upload).
Thanks for your help guys.

James

Nice ... wow ... you remind me when i was with VM back in UK ... enjoy your new machine
There is a new beta RC8 with some fixes if you have time to try but you will need to do master reset after load the RC8 (avoid mismatching with previous bug betas) and do all settings back from the begin (post highlighted)
