2860n and Infinity Connection was created by nikstar101
Hi there.
I have just received a 2860n and i have tried to set it up on a BT Infinity broadband connection (Infinity 2 80Mbs). I have gone through the setup for the 2850 on Draytek's support site and also adjusted the VLAN tag in the WAN 1 connection to 101 but although the router connects and syncs it still shows an amber port on the dashboard and users are unable to connect to the internet.
I have also tried connecting the BT modem to the WAN 2 port with the same setting and get the same result. Therefore I think it must be a setting that i have used somewhere that is not working. I have entered the username ofbthomehub@btbroadband.com and left the password blank (as suggested on the BT forums).
I saw a previous thread with a connection issue
http://www.forum.draytek.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=18633
but that did not seem to shed any light on my issue. If anyone has a screenshot of there setup or have any ideas on what the problem could be i would very grateful.
Thanks
Nick

Ahhh a quick firmware update and it now works. Although the DSL port still shows an amber status??? Not sure if that is normal or not?

Welcome to the Forum.
On my 2850n and 2860n, I entered the BT supplied username and password into the relevant fields of the Internet setup screen. This has worked fine for me. Try it and see what happens......

Niggly cheers for the reply.
I assume you me your account user name and password (the one they give you for your BT yahoo email) as opposed to the genericbthomehub@btbroadband.com .
Just it check the DSL port on your status page is green not amber like mine?
Will give it a go.
Cheers

Yes- it's the xxxxxxx@btinternet.com username and password.
The DSL light is indeed green on my dashboard.
Hope you've got it working now.......
