2760 vs 2860 - recommendation? was created by fabwhack
Hi all,
Looking for some help in deciding which Vigor to buy. I'm just about to upgrade from ADSL (on a trusty 2820Vn) to FTTC (Plusnet). My requirements are:
* 1 IPSec tunnel to connect to my office's network
* 1 VoIP analogue phone connection, for the same reason
* Lots of VPN activity, shuffling data up and down
* Lots of non-VPN activity, downloading and surfing from the half-a-dozen various computers, tablets etc dotted around the house.
* No content management needed yet, but it would be a nice option for the future.
Ideally I'd like the 2860Vn but I believe won't be available in the UK for a couple of months. So my choices would appear to be the 2760Vn, or a 2820n with an separate Cisco or GrandStream "Analogue Telephone Adapter".
The 2860 is obviously the more powerful unit, but I'm not sure if it's overkill. Any advice about whether the 2760 is up to the job would be gratefully received - will I end up overloading it trying to do VPN, VoIP and a bit of downloading at the same time? Also, I've read a few posts about the 2760 having stability/sync issues - have these been resolved?
Thanks in advance!

The 2860 is available now so go with that.
I the 2760 isn't list on the Draytek Website anymore

Forget that last post I was looking under Business only.
I would still go for the 2860 though
