Vigor 2860N & BT Infinity Slow Connection was created by tony powell
Can any one help? I have Just setup my 2860N on BT infinity and it will not connect faster than 2000 Kbps. I have just upgraded from a 2850N to get a Giga Wan port for Virgin and when using BT it would connect at 38000 Kbps.
Thanks Tony

half answer to your issue
The 2850 has giga wan (at Lan 4 the 2nd wan) use it and enable wan 2 from wan>general set up but the throughput may be limited to 90mb from the firewall ... still may not good for your case if you have virgin 120mb
As for speed with BT there is a guide for the 2850 which is similar to 2860
http://www.draytek.co.uk/support/kb/kb_vigor_v2850_setup.html
But also may worth to upgrade with latest 3.7.3

Change & the MTU from 1442 to 1492 (is important) , check QoS to untick Enable the First Priority for VoIP if will help

The 2860 has a Giga Wan so keeps up with Virgin speeds. my problem is with Infinity It will just not connect faster than 2000 Kbps I have changed the MTU to 1492 and it has made no diffrence.
