Two routers - one wireless network was created by sparkymarcopolo
I've created two wireless networks in my house, using a 2760 and a 2830 but running into issues when two object are connected to different AP's so I'm looking to setup in a different way.

Having read around creating one SSID for both, only one DHCP, I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions setting up. My 2760 will be connected to fibre and the default gateway, etc, my 2830 in the lounge but will have items such as my NAS (wired)

I'm connecting them using Dlink Power Lan adapters

Thanks

In my opinion you have it round the wrong way.

The 2830 should be the default gateway (if you have a vdsl modem and connect it to wan2) and act as DHCP server.

create the SSID on the 2830 and a different one on the 2760.
Make sure DHCP is off on the 2760
Give the 2760 a static address on your lan so you can manage it, connect the LAN ports together with the Lan Adapters and it should then work
The connecting devices should switch to the SSID with best signal.

Thanks, I use the 2760 because it's an all in one solution for the fibre connection, rather than having two boxes (I meant 2920 and vdsl modem)

The problem is I want one wireless network, not two so your solution might not work for me

Ok, set this up last night so both were the same SSID, security, but different channels. All seemed to work but as like before one of the issues I had was my wireless speaker not being found unless connected to the same AP as the unit.

So I've gone back to two Wireless with just the 2960 as DHCP

No make it work properly with just one SSID you really need a unified wireless controller.
You can put the WAPs on the same SSID but its not really the solution.
