Still no sign of anywhere to enable 'ping from WAN' though.

You need ... system maintenance > management > access control tab (top left) > management list ...
press the add button next of management list, highlight the ping and send it to the next box together with telnet if you need or any other feature & then ok


An other tip ( i am using chrome) if the dashboard delay to appear clear the browser cache

Is there any way we can disable the constant flashing power/wireless led's they are really bugging me.
