Getting TR069 to work with TalkTalk auto diags. [Solved] was created by simmondp
If you are a TT user then you may have noticed that TT have launched a really nice on-line diagnostic tool.
https://my.talktalk.co.uk/servicecentre/
With the TT supplied modem it reports my Phone, Router and YouView box all working fine. Plug in a DrayTek 2830n and it reports the Phone line as fine, and the Router and YouView box as faulty. (Well unable to communicate with them I suspect).
Here is how to configure your 2830n Router to talk to the TT Service Diagnostic system so it reports correctly;
1. Under [System Maintenance][TR-069] enter
1a. ACS Server On: Internet
1b. ACS Server URL:http://acs.talktalk.co.uk:7547/ACS-server/ACS
1c. ACS Server Username: <left blank>
1d. ACS Server Password: <left blank>
1e. CPE Client: Enable **
1f. CPE Client URL: <unable to change> **
1g. CPE Client Port: 8069 **
1h. CPE Client Username: userid **
1i. CPE Client Password:Username = cRP#9094E4FD3760 **
1j. Periodic Inform Settings: Enable
1k. Interval Time: 86400
1l. STUN Settings: Disable **
** Not sure if these setting actually required!
2. Under [System Maintenance][Management] enter
2a. Router Name: Draytek
2b. Internet Access Control, Allow management from the Internet
2c. FTP Server: Disable ***
2d. HTTP Server: Disable ***
2e. HTTPS Server: Disable ***
2f. Telnet Server: Disable ***
2g. TR069 Server: Enable (ticked)
2h. SSH Server: Disable ***
2i. Disable PING from the Internet: Enable (ticked)
*** My personal take as a security geek is that unless you absolutely need these they should be disabled!
Enjoy

Seems to work fine on TalkTalk without the Username and Password; I now get Phone, Router and YouView box all showing with "Green Ticks"
