Block Web Admin Port 8080 from LAN2 on 2850N was created by johntankard
Hi Guys,
Not sure if this is possible, I have 2 distinct LANS on a 2850N - LAN1 is for company use and not much restriction on it, LAN2 is for Guest WiFi access which is firewalled down, is there a way to block webadmin access for port 8080 just for LAN2 users?
Thanks for any help....
John

You could probably do it a couple of ways..
On the management tab use the access list
In the data filter create a rule with LAN2 as the source, the gateway as the destination address and the service as 8080 and Block.
You could even change the port from 8080 or use SSL with a different port too

Hi Sicon,
thank you for your reply, option two is the way id like to go. I have done exactly as you described but the data filter doesn't work , it still gets through?
Regards John

Perhaps enabled management overrides the firewall rule.
I think the Access list will be your only answer
