Struggling to get OPenDNS working was created by okeycokey
Hi. I have a 2860 router and struggling to get all my LAN clients to point to OpenDNS servers. I want the router to do this. On the LAN DHCP page, I have set the OpenDNS servers addresses. However, each client is by-passing these DNS requests and using the BT one instead. I though I had all this set up. Why am I struggling! Help please!

Ok...so the clients are now getting the OpenDNS correctly, but they are able to change their client DNS entries to, for examples Google`s at 8.8.8.8. Rather than lock down the clients, how is this blocked on the router?

Hi
I`m sure this can be achieved but struggling to make it happen.
So far, I`ve managed to get all client PC`s pointing to the OpenDNS server - fine and dandy!
But. The users can change to Google DNS servers and by pass OpenDNS on the router.
I`ve blocked port 53 on the router but this blocks all access to any web page:o
I`ve had an attempt at redirecting all the requests from port 53 on the LAN, to point to OpenDNS servers on the WAN, but this doesn`t appear to work either...i.e. they can still access unwanted, blocked material. I`ve rebooted, flushed DNS, waited 15 mins or so, cleared browser settings etc, but still can`t achieve my goal.
Can anyone walk me through the settings? Thanks
