dsl dsl rebooting on vigor 2850n was created by mjoseph
hi
we are seeing a lot of DSL DSL Rebooting on the log of vigor 2850 connected to talktalk highspeed broad band
but dont have any connection issues, but after about 5:00 the the number of these reboots increase along with the following
wan2 PPPoe==>protocol:LCVP(c021) echoRep Identifier :0x85Magic Number: 0x4686 3e 20 ##
when we are seeing this we are unable to connect to the router from external.
can someone explain what the above log means, is it trying to negotiate ?
is ther a fix for this
my current firmware is 3.6.3_232201
will an update fix this ?
thanks

Not sure what the error means but 3.6.3 had issue when was connecting android phones so was rebooting if i remember correct
Try latest firmware 3.6.6 which has vdsl improvement as well
ftp://ftp.draytek.com/Vigor2850/Firmware/v3.6.6/
You need to use *rst* file and all the settings manually from the begin to avoid previous bugs
Also i think TT using DHCP for fibre so try set the static or dynamic ip page (wan > internet connection) & wan>general set up, always on & vlan tag id is a must (i think 101)

Disabling UPnP will stop the undesired reboots from happening.
It's not great not having UPnP, but it's a work-around I can live with at the moment.
Hope Draytek will fix this soon.
