Connecting Vigot 2860 - BTInfinity was created by vincesapplemac
We're having problems setting up the Vigor 2860 to work with BTInfinity and a SonicWall we use.

We presently have 5 Static IP addresses from BT which are assigned to devices behind our SoniceWall on our internal Network, SonicWall directs all traffic to and from these assigned IP Addresses.

We were advised that the Vigor 2860 would be the most suitable device to use instead of the standard BT Hub provided ( we cant use the BT Hub as it does not allow NO NAT and thus attempts to point our static IP addresses traffic, which contradicts and interferes with our SonicWalls direction of IP Assigned traffic).

Previously when we had the bog standard BT BB we used a Thompson Speedtouch ST545 instead of the BT Hub, this allowed the traffic to pass through and then be assigned to the statics behind the SonicWall, by the Sonic Wall.

The Thompson would also pick up and be assigned the Dynamic IP address that the BT Network assigned on the external side (81.130.xx.xxx assigned to our connection have a the static Router/Hub address of 217.45.xx.xx1 and our SonicWall would be set up connect to this and then have its on static ip address in the same range 217.45..xx.xx2)

This then allowed our external workers to use SonicWalls VPN connections to access the internal network by connecting to the Sonicwalls static IP Address

We want the Vigor to act in the same way as the Speedtouch, having the Dynamic Address on one side and the static on the internal side which would then allow the VPN's to connect, but for some reason we can't figure out how to do this in the Vigors setting, would be grateful of any and all help.

Hope the above makes sense,

Hi
What settings do you currently have on the 2860?
Ive done something similar with Juniper net screens connecting to a net gear but never done it with a Draytek as that is usually doing what you have the sonicwall doing.

On the VDSL settings set that to automatic IP and then in the LAN set that as your /29 /28 etc subnet.

If that doesn't work then you may have to us one of your statics for the DrayTek

The 2860 doesn't have the ip routed subnet option any more so I assume you can just set the WAN address in the LAN interface.
