2750 + Wan DNS problem was created by drouter1
Hi all, I seem to have a problem and cannot fix it and wondered if anyone had come across this problem as well.
I want to change the DNS servers on the WAN interface to my own option, in this case, let`s say OpenDNS
I am able to change them on the LAN section with no problem, but trying to change the WAN DNS servers to use OpenDNS - doesn`t seem to work.
I found this following information online and followed it - but it had no effect, and the DNS servers are still showing as the ones from my ISP (as you can see above)
######################
By default dnsmasq takes over resolv.conf by masquerading the DNS from the WAN interface. But we don’t trust our ISP DNS and use opendns;)
Create a new resolv file with the opendns nameservers.
~# vi /etc/resolv.conf.opendns
nameserver 208.67.222.222
nameserver 208.67.220.220
now tell the router not to masq the dns
~# vi /etc/config/dhcp
change:
resolv-file=/tmp/resolv.conf.auto
to
resolv-file=/etc/resolv.conf.opendns
#######################################
Does anyone have any clues to what I should be doing, and why this didn`t work ?

Hi Babis - I did install the latest firmware yesterday
After posting my first question, I did find more information and changed another file to try be sure that the ISP dns servers were removed, but instead of OpenDNS showing up in the router interface
it was two completely different ones !
4.2.2.1 and another one which was some dns server in Taiwan (I think) !
very complicated router to configure, and very confusing.
