2830 ICMP Echo on wan2 was created by deaddox
Hi All,
i have a 2830 connected to a TalkTalk ADSL line via wan1 and a second TalkTalk ADSL connected via a Vigor 120 modem into wan2.
Both connection work fine and i have enabled ICMP echo. I can ping wan1 fine but i cant ping the wan2 public address. I cant see any ICMP echo settings in the 120 interface.
Any idea how i can get the wan2 connection to respond to pings? I need this for remote monitoring of the quality of the connection.

if you go at System Maintenance >> Management>>UNtick Disable PING from the Internet should work for both wans
If not then at same page click enable Allow management from the Internet &
System Maintenance >> Admin Setting>> Enable Admin Login From Wan

Hi Thanks for the help.
In System Maintenance >> Management
Allow management from the internet is enabled and https ticked.
disable ping from the internet is unticked
There is no
System Maintenance >> Admin Settings
There is a System Maintenance >> Admin Password but this is just for changing the password.
In User Management >> User Profiles the admin account has authentication for the Web/Alert Tool and Telnet enable.
I can manage the system remotely via WAN1 but cant via WAN2. Tracert shows that the router is blocking WAN2 but not WAN1
