From my own experience the a2 is giving less attenuator so maybe is a little faster code but you need to test each one for your line
HINT
if you change them right after you need to reboot manually to avoid conflict at the moment how designed

Thanks, I realise *why* they are there - I just wondered if it was documented what each particular variant changes/optimises etc?

ahh sorry ... seems each user has to do its own test like the modem code a2 had lower attenuator for me
By the way i think next firmware which is coming very soon should have some new ones

Thanks. Quite like the idea of giving them a try, but dont really want to have to work my way through them all to find the best candidate - Would be useful to be able to narrow down the initial options.

i know if you using it for work is not really the best time for testing ... with the new firmware hopefully by next week if have new modem codes i will test and report but will take some time .. how ever till now the standard which is coming by default is very good one
