Can I ask what level of signal strength you were getting?

I had the same issue in the first USB port. Moving to WAN4 fixed it.

I know I'm replying to an old thread but noticed an unanswered question and for posterity I'll reply:

Can I ask what level of signal strength you were getting?

It showed around 70% but I suspect was nowhere near that as it was in a steel clad building in an internal server room with no windows and brick walls. We moved it upstairs to a window as a test and it worked much better. We had 40 users on it but Three must have noticed and throttled it back quite quickly as performance degraded to the point of making it pointless. Much better suited to one or two users I think.

Thanks

Maybe the USB port draws too much current when signal is poor. Try a powered hub.
