Annex B [ISDN] was created by gaz.lodge
Hi...

We have several 2860's dotted around Europe & the UK Annex A model has worked everywhere.
I need to get an Annex B version for our German office but I do not want the menu to be in German.

A while ago someone suggested that I could buy a German version and flash the UK firmware onto it.... http://forum.draytek.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=16036

Does anyone know if this can be done with the 2860? I need a UK menu on an Annex B 2860

Thanks
Gaz :D

I'm really going to have to find a different vendot then... Draytek support have been rubbish on this too, they just don't seem to care, such a shame..... :(

It looks like UK versions of the Annex B firmware are available from the draytek.de page...

Strange that Draytek support were unable to help...
Do I risk frying my German 2860 onsite with this code?

Hmmmmmm

Why is that strange? I guess that few people in Germany can't speak German and need their localised product with different language firmware. You want them to provide a service/product which is not offered or a customer product or support for an unsupported application. I can imagine they don't have systems in place for every rare demand.

I guess i was asking too much then.... ? What a shame... The simple fact is that the firmware was available and i now have it working but the uk support team were unable to help.
I guess I really have to treat draytek kit as soho only now which is a shame...... its good kit but the support is pretty poor i'm afraid..... You guys should really talk to each other and have a global product!

Shame as I have been using draytek products for around 15 years now......... I have to also say that the draytek.de german team were awesome. They reacted quicker than the uk guys with much better info.

My advise would be contact draytek.de if you have any questions :-)
