Well, understandably.... they are presumably trained for lots of scenarios but supported something that is not an intended use, for a product which wasn't sold in their country/area of responsibility. they presumably don't have access or special knowledge of untest/unsupported firmware.

Me? But you can't have a global product unless you have global languages and global
telecom systems. The UK V2860 had to have a lot of special engineering/testing/work
for UK specific requirements - that was paid for by UK sales.

You mean the people you paid for the product and whose job it is to support it? Well, yes, I'd hope so.

gaz.lodge wrote: My advise would be contact draytek.de if you have any questions :-)

About a German product...yes, absolutely... seems obvious to me :-)

Well we can agree to disagree....

Personally I think the UK support guys should be able to advise me that there is a UK language firmware available for the AnnexB 2860.
I don't think knowledge of that is asking too much. :D

Game over maaaan, game over....

I think reading the release notes on the .TW website will tell you what you need to know about English versions of Annex B firmware.

Thanks fella... That's the same info I got from the German website.
What seems strange is that it looks like the same firmware from that page... Perhaps the same firmware contains both annex a and annex b...

Again I would like to feel that the support team were more knowledgeable on this subject...
