2860 3.7.8.3 was created by ianhfoster
Hi

Just seen a 3.7.8.3 for the 2860 series (inc AC) release on http://www.draytek.com/index.php?option=com_jumi&view=application&fileid=15&Itemid=583&lang=en

Has anybody tried it? (assuming Annex A - "Vigor2860_v3.7.8.3_VECTOR2.zip" is used for modem code 574307_571801 & 573807_571701)

Any difference to it released there and at some point released on UK site?

Ian

Just upgrade from 3.7.8 on a 2860Vn-Plus to the 3.7.8.3 vector2 firmware.

Download sync speed on VDSL connection jumped from 35Mbos to 44Mbps and upload went from about 6Mps to 7Mbps. Fingers crossed that increased speed doesn't drop off in the coming days.

Nice to see all those 5Ghz channels now available for future use.

Re: v2860_2783_vector2
Sadly I can't say the same for my setup using E392 dongles... We have no hardwire net connectivity here.

It seems that far from fixing the issue with Connection detection rebooting constantly when using Ping Detect.. Now, it's broken for ARP as well. It's impossible to maintain a 3G/4G dongle connection without rebooting every 15 seconds or so...

I've just had to downgrade back to 3.7.8.2 to get it all working again...

EDIT:
Re: v2860_2783_nonvector
Decided to try the non-vector version in case that might have some kind of effect and discovered that this actually doesn't crash and reboot.

So, if you're in a similar situation where 3G/4G dongle support is primary then the non-vector firmware version appears to be the one to use.
