2860n+ and Vigor 130 was created by piste basher
As I frequently adjust router settings, requiring re-boots, and concerned at the effect this would have on the DSLAM I have recently bought a 130 to feed my vdsl connection to WAN2 on the 2860. The 130 has firmware 3.7.8.1 and the 2860 3.7.8.3 vector 2. The 130 works fine and its GUI shows SHOWTIME as usual. However the 2860 shows the dsl connection as TRAINING, up and down speeds as 0 and no stats whatsoever.
As I bought the 130 specifically so that I could keep an eye on the stats via the 2860 this is disappointing - I may as well have used my OR modem.
Draytek support are on the case but have come up with nothing so far. I was wondering if anyone here might be able to shed some light on it?

Poking around a bit more it seems clear that the 2860 is still trying to get its stats from the WAN1 connection, it doesn't recognise that WAN2 is the active connection now. I've tried a firmware upgrade using the .rst file but that hasn't made any difference.

No help yet from Draytek support.

To quote their website: "A new feature for the Vigor 130 is that, when connected to a Vigor router (2860, 2925 series and 2830n), the DSL line stats are now displayed in the router's own web interface, alongside any built-in DSL interface stats. "

Well they don't display for me. Surely I can't be the only one using a 130 into a 2860/2925/2830? Has anyone else got this to work?

Have you tried factory resetting the Vigor 130 modem to see if that makes a difference? If you want to check whether the modem's sending out the information, plug a PC into the modem and you should see UDP packets on port 4944: http://www.forum.draytek.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=20285&p=83801

I've just tried a factory reset but that hasn't made any difference. As per the other poster, there is no "Broadcast DSL status to LAN" setting in the GUI, although I see on a New Zealand support site that they appear to have that in their firmware - why don't we have it in the UK? Using Wireshark I don't see any UDP packets coming from the modem.

Can you try flashing it with the 3.7.8.1 .rst firmware - maybe that would fix it? I agree that it's a bit odd that the option isn't there, the vigor 130s that I've seen send those messages.
