2860ac -5Ghz Wireless Access Control was created by and235100
Set up brand new Vigor 2860ac on ADSL for a client.

No restored configuration - set up from scratch. Upgraded to 3.7.8.3.

Everything was fine - except that I cannot add mac addresses to the 5Ghz access control list. (2.4Ghz was fine, and this is not a browser issue - same problem with IE (running in compatibility or not) and FF.

Every time I attempt to type a (valid) mac address into the boxes, the mac address appears to add to the list when I click Add - but as soon as I click OK, the list clears of all the mac addresses that I have entered.

Anyone else seen this? I saw this on the original 3.7.8.1 FW that came with the router out of the box as well - the FW update didn't fix it.

I will probably log a support request with Draytek - but I shouldn't have to (on a matter of principle) - this isn't a cheap router...

Have an update.

List is only affected if enter a mac address beginning 00 in the first group.

No others are affected, and save correctly in the list.

As I stated before - can confirm this only affects 5Ghz access control list - not 2.4Ghz one.

Does seem to be a bug. Even on a 2860n+ the 'feature' exists, though I notice you can enter 01 as the leading digit pair and then go back and edit it to 00.

Thanks for the update - but unfortunately this doesn't work for me.

Procedure:

1) Type mac address into text fields (substituting the 00 prefix with a A0 - or A1, 01 etc.). Click Add.
2) Click OK. Mac address stays in list.
3) Click on mac address in list, change first two digits back to 00. Click Edit.
4) Click OK. Mac address beginning with 00 disappears from the list.

It seems a shame no one at Draytek did any testing on this with the latest (or previous) firmware versions - I would have thought that a mac address beginning with 00 would be quite common...
