Zen ipv6 trial and Vigor 2860n+ was created by rusbrc
Zen have turned on the ipv6 trial for me, however when I select the dual stack mode (PPP) in IPv6 WLAN settings, ipv6 is is offline; is anyone else doing this and have any pointers?

Hey,

Zen just enabled IPv6 for me as well. I tried various setting with no luck. I got the older 2850 but I get the same result as you. The mail from zen stated it should work flawlessly if your router implements RFC7084.
Have you managed to get IPv6 working? How?
Did you inquiry about RFC7084 support with Draytek?

Thanks

JM

Just turned on for me as well. Using a 130 into WAN2, IPv6 on my 2860n+ appears to work in PPP mode, according to the ipv6 test sites. However, although I can ping ipv6.google.com from the router and from a server on the LAN, I can't from a Windows 10 LAN PC - even though IE on the PC will connect to that address. Not sure why that is at present.

Interesting,

So I tried again setting up PPP for IPv6 on my Draytek 2850, and after a good 7 min wait, the router managed to get an IPv6 address. Not sure why it takes that long but now I have IPv6 addresses on all my machines now, all from the same range.

But test-ipv6.com still does not see me as IPv6 connected. I forced the DNS server on my linux machine to be the google IPv6 (as well as IPv4) but still no success. How shall I set the IPv6 DNS Server ?

I left everything on the 2860 to automatic, just set PPP as the IPv6 connection type for WAN2. The router picked up Zen's DNS as 2a02:8010:1::212:23:3:100 straight away and shows this in the "Online Status" page

Interestingly, however, the LAN setup pages on the router show the dns servers as 2001:4860:4860::8888 and 8844, also the PC network settings show:-

IPv6 DNS Servers: 2001:4860:4860::8888, 2001:4860:4860::8844, 2a02:8010:1:0:212:23:3:100

The first two are presumably Google's - the 130 is set to use Google's dns by default.

Hi,

Do you have anything set on the LAN IPv6 setup page, like DHCPv6 Server or RADVD?

Thanks
