Kit Recommendations (QoS on VLAN) was created by kevccs
Hi

Just hoping someone can point me in the right direction for a router I need to purchase.

I have a requirement of 16 VLANs with a router providing DHCP for each of these VLANs. There will be an internet connection of 160Mb and I want to guarantee 10Mb for each VLAN. I would then like the VLANs to compete fairly for any unused internet bandwidth.

I'm familiar with the 2830's but they don't seem to be able to handle so many VLANs/subnets in Bandwidth Control from what I can see.

Is there a Draytek product that will do what I require?

Thanks
Kev

I can see from the Product Comparison Table that only the 2960 and 3900 models support enough VLANs and subnets (20 and 50).

I'm presuming these models allow for a DHCP server to be configured to provide IP's for the 16 subnets/VLANs?

But can I guarantee a sixteenth of the WAN bandwidth to each VLAN without setting an upper limit?
