Disappointed to find that the FXO port on my shiny new Vigor 2860Vn-plus is only passthrough.

The FXS ports make nice SIP phones. It would be even nicer if my Asterisk box suddenly found itself with access to a PSTN trunk.

It's not an FXO port (as you have discovered) but it's never been described as one AFAIK.
