DrayTek 2850VN clicking sound was created by chrisdj
Hi all,

I have this router which I previously used on a FTTC connection without issues. having since moved, and having to use a different technology, I am now connecting via the WAN port to a modem. However every few minutes a clicking sound emanates from the draytek, and the adsl light starts flashing, and then it clicks and the vdsl led starts flashing. I have disabled WAN1 and WAN3, but it still does this. Its like it wants to retrain the line, which I obviously don't have. Any idea how I can stop this from happening, as the router is next to my workplace, and that tick will drive you mad like Chinese water torture!

Maybe some CLI magic?

Chris

Go to WAN > General Setup > WAN1 and set the DSL Mode to ADSL Only, that should stop it doing that :)
