2760n VDSL/ADSL was created by bigdunc1999
Hi

We have both an ADSL and VDSL line installed and I'm wondering if it's possible to have both an ADSL and VDSL account setup on the 2760n? So if the VDSL line went off it would automatically switch over to the ADSL connection?

Cheers

Yes I think you can setup account details for both VDSL and ADSL in the 2760 setup, but as VDSL and ADSL come in via different face plates, you would have to unplug the 2760 from the VDSL faceplate and plug it into the ADSL faceplate when the VDSL fails. (or buy a 2860 with dual WAN inputs and it will auto-switch).

....but you will need a separate modem for the second WAN input?

If you do wire both up, one WAN connection via VDSL/ADSL and other via Ethernet, you will need to manually switch between VDSL/ADSL input and Ethernet input. The 2760 isn't auto switching unlike 2860.
