BT Fibre to the Premise was created by dkeppler
We have just had FTTP (the P is pole, Openreach had to install a new telegraph pole out side!) Anyway, we now have a fibre line coming into the outside of building, then a splitter, and an Openreach box inside that converts it to WAN. We also have a static IP address Can I use our existing 2830 or do I need some fancy new router.

Don't know what speed you fibre is but the 2830 is only rated to 90Mb/s (see the Draytek UK comparison chart for internal speeds).

Sounds like the P is still for premises... I didn't realise fibre could be installed aerial! And are they still called Telegraph poles..surely not? :-) Anyway, like the other guy said, the V2830 will work, but will be limited in speed. Depending on the speed of your FTTP service, the Vigor 2860 might do.

It could be BT Infinity VDSL as some BT VDSL Cabinets can be installed in a pole mounted box now (which is neat as it's lower cost than installing a green cabinet). If the services you can pick include packages up to Unlimited BT Infinity 2 (76Mbps) then it'll likely be a VDSL based service so 2830 connected to WAN2 would be happy with the speeds.

Yikes, wouldn't want to walk under that in strong winds :-)
