Hi guys,

I attempted to upgrade the firmware on my Vigor 2820n this morning.

I downloaded the wrong firmware thinking that it is the right one for my router. One i downloaded and tried to upgrade to is the VigorIPPBX 2820n 3.5.10.2

I used the Firmware upgrade utility to perform the upgrade. After the upgrade the router timed out and all LAN/WAN ports are not lighting up.

At the moment the ACT, USB and CSM ligts are solid all the time.

I tried to factory reset it but it did not help at all.

Do you have any ideas if it is possible to revert the changes back to factory settings?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

p.s. I still cant believe I actually did that ... flashing a router first thing at 05:00 in the morning - don't recommend to anyone

Can you tell us how you sorted it? Just in case it happens to one of us. I haven't bricked a device yet but there is always a first time!

This is how I did it:-

Following the guide posted under the link above is how I managed to recover it indeed.

Followed by downloading the correct firmware and re-flashing again.
