Hoping someone can offer some advice on here please.
We have recently installed a 2860ac along with a Draytek AP at a customers site who had a requirement for a strong signal and two SSIDs (One for Cash register & one for Guests to use when they visit.) We set this up so that the Cash register is on a 192.168.1.0/24 network and the guest network is on a 192.168.2.0/24 network both segmented so neither network can cross talk (Separated these using VLANs)
All this works well except I got a call from the customer yesterday who requires the ability to utilise all 6 ports on his 2860ac however as it stands only port 1 works, the rest we get link lights but receive no IP address and setting a static IP doesn't work either so it is as if the ports are configured incorrectly.
Sense would say you would navigate to the left hand page and choose LAN and configure there but everything is grayed out plus each LAN port seems to go up a network for example
LAN 1 - 192.168.1.0
LAN 2 - 192.168.2.0
LAN 3 - 192.168.3.0
LAN4 - 192.168.4.0
LAN 5 - 192.168.5.0
LAN 5 - 192.168.6.0
DMZ - 192.168.7.0
I did not configure the above and I cannot find a way to change it so that all ports on that router when plugged in put the device on the Cash register network (VLAN ID: 1 / Network 192.168.1.0/24) - Any ideas?
I have also noticed when I am hard wired into LAN 1 the internet connectivity is very hit and miss, I ran a ping test and were getting high MS and occasionally not receiving a reply however if I disconnected the Ethernet cable and connected wirelessly I got an excellent experience online with low MS and no packet loss at all.
