2860Ln LTE on EE was created by gunstarzero
Hi,

I'm really struggling to get LTE working using the built in modem on the 2860Ln.

I've got a working sim from a mifi device (connected via that now)

using APN: everywhere, user/pass: eesecure, secure

I never seem to get a connection, although the SMS functionality works fine (can send and receive)

Syslog says: [4G]<5> Modem state [15]

Online Status says:

USB Modem Status Base Station ID Signal Strength(RSSI) Signal Quality(CINR) NetWork Mode
Device Exists Connecting 00:A0:C6:00:01:55 -90 dBm 10 dB 4G/3G/2G
(40%)

Have now tried 2 known working Sims (both EE) and a variety of different APN settings, with plenty of reboots!

Might be worth checking your coverage as the above shows you have a T-Mobile SIM (Operator=23430) but you are actually on the Vodafone network (MCC+MNC=23415).
Not surprised it doesn't work.

Your MCC+MNC needs to be either 23430 (T-Mobile) or 23433 (Orange)

EE does work fine in my experience. Did you try connecting the aerial excention cables so that you have some more flexibility with positioning of the aerials. Can make a really big difference to signal strength if the aerials are not hidden away in a cupboard etc.
