2830n dead wireless was created by nevstah
Hi

I've just moved to a new ADSL provider and decided to upgrade to the firmware to the current version. All appeared to go normally, but the wifi now appears to be completely dead. The green light on the front is lit, I've even reset to factory defaults and subsequently reverted back to the previous firmware (Jan 2015) to no avail. I can turn wifi on and off, the light goes on and off, but can't see the SSID on any laptops or phones.

Have I killed it completely? is there anything I can try to revive the wireless? everything else appears to be working fine.

Thanks

Wrong version of firmware? You need to ensure you have the right version as there is a V1 and a V2

Hi

I double checked that I was using the right one as that was my original theory, there's no number, which I understand means its V1. Its also single band.

The version I reverted to was the same physical file which I kept in my downloads, which worked fine last year.

Thanks
