So that should support vectoring but I'm not sure there is any way to tell if the line itself DOES support it (has it turned on) other than if you have another
modem which it does work with. Can you ask your ISP ?

I'll try the ISP modem (Technicolor TG589VN V3) when I get a chance, that supports G.993.5 (G.Vector)

I'm trying to find out from Draytek support if the Vigor 130 supports G.993.5, coz I can't see any other reason why it wouldn't be working.

It DOES. The suggestion is,. though unproven, that Eircom may be using a vendor specific proprietary non-standard mode/variant of vectoring set on the MSAN.

Not sure if Eircom uses any proprietary vectoring, all I know is that they use Huawei cabinets with a Broadcom chipset.
Didn't get a chance to try the Technicolor yet but my Vigor 130 is synced at 85meg down at the moment, I think that must mean vectoring is active as the highest sync without vectoring is 70meg?
(Nevermind I think it's possible to sync over 70meg without vectoring).

Is it worth trying the other modem files?

What exactly does it say on the online status screen of the V130? i.e. does it show G993 ?

And no, if you're getting 85mb connections, leave it alone and don't look a gift horse in the mouth :-)
