Help

I have a bt hub feeding to currently two As 800 units
I can access them if I unplug each in turn from main computer and enter the IP address 192.1.168.2 or by wifi

I guess having the same address is causing a conflict?

I now want to add a further ap810 to one of the ap800 to extend my network.

All of these currently have a default IP address of 192.168.1.2

I believe I need to change the default IP addresses but I have tried and I'm confused as it doesn't seem to accept any change whatever I turn on or off

Do I need to do anything to the actual computer or is it just a change on the ap800 settings ?

I am using Windows 10.

Any advice greatly appreciated. I have red the user guide but it doesn't really tell me what I need. Or I don't understand it

Thanks

With only one AP800 connected on its admin page go to LAN - General Settings and make sure its IP address is 192.168.1.2 and that DHCP client is disabled (assuming router is the default gateway its IP address should be set as well - if I recall correctly the BT home hub doesn't use the friendly 192.168.1.1 but is 192.168.1.254 is that right?)

Disconnect that one and connect another - go to same settings but set this one to 192.168.1.3

etc etc

should work
