Draytek 2860 IP Filter Polycom Issue was created by drstee
Hi Everyone,

We have a Draytek 2860 with an FTTC line for a Polycom HDX 7000.

We are trying to configure the router to allow connections from an IP Object group only. This is to avoid rogue calls from spammers.
So basically we have configured 1 filter to block all addresses unless further matched. And we have another filter which allows all ports to all ports from the IP Object Group.

However, it doesn't seem to work. So I am wondering if the router also needs to have NAT enabled for the destination IP address as well as the allow filter in the firewall.

We have only been able to achieve a fully successful connection when placing the Polycom into DMZ.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

You will need to do the NAT polices along with the firewall too.
Open the ports on the WAN IP to the LAN IP of the Polycom in open ports then apply your firewall rules in the Datafilter
