I have been getting random disconnects with my Vigor2860n router on the WAN2 connection with my Virgin Hub 3 modem.

I have the Virgin router setup as a modem and I followed the youTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLfGviIzXDk to configure the DrayTrek router, I get random disconnects and when I check the Virgin router I can see the internet is always up so I know there is no issues with Virgin router. Is there something I have not done, please help.

Thanks

Hi Buddy,

RANDOM REPLY.. :-)
I am not an expert here and someone else can answer your question more logically, but I just wondered if you were using Windows 10 Anniversary Edition?

Running Windows 10 Professional but windows has nothing to do with it as its the routers are communicating with each other.

Cool.
This is probably irrelevent then.
It's just that ever since I did a clean W10 Pro install (in fact twice) I am getting intermittent disconnects, or it seems like the bandwidth goes totally just to the strongest reception user.
Previously using the Previews and the builds before the AE it was a delight, and very stable. Not so now.
I'm going through everything now.

If the disconnects are regularly (approx every 36 min) than this is a known fault with the Vm Superhub 3 in modem mode and affecting not just Draytek routers behind the SuperHub 3 in modem mode.

Thanks for the info.

I also seem to have found out that my Windows 10 Pro problem seem to be down to a faulty Plusnet router which was used at the request of Plusnet support. I have substitude a temporary one and it seems to now to be ok, and not have so many glitches as before.
