Failover router setup was created by gavo
Hello,

A customer presently has two vdsl lines terminating (one via a Draytek 130 modem) on a 2860. The 2860 is effectively in a remote site (just a small network cabinet) and from here services are delivered to it's intended site via a PTP wireless bridge. This was simply because the office that uses the internet simply couldn't get viable broadband.

In the next couple of weeks the customer's office is getting a 20m/bit leased line (delivered via microwave) for which they have a spare 2860 set aside. I am assuming that two 2860's can exist happily together with the vdsl fed router being a backup route should the leased line fail. Are there any useful resources describing how to set up the routers ? Presumably it will be a question of assigning a cost to each route ?

Cheers

Gavin
