I'm using a Vigor 2860Vac with two wired AP-910Cs, which I've set up to work with Central AP Management.

Amongst the many problems I've had recently with our set-up is both APs reverting to using the default password 'admin'. I don't know if the router is changing them or if the APs do it themselves - but they do seem to do it at exactly the same time!

This is very odd and very annoying - not least as it undermines the network's security.

Below is the APM log information from one of the APs, in case it provides any clues. For both APs, [APM] Send APM station number is listed shortly before the connection to them is seemingly lost (note the time jump in the logs). The other AP's log is exactly the same.

Can anyone kindly advise? Thanks a lot.

Is it possible you have auto-configuration set up on the device or router from the APM, so it's always downloading a virgin config ?

Hi - thanks very much for the suggestion. I hadn't thought of that and it seems like a good theory, especially as I did have auto-provision enabled on the APs. However, it's only the passwords that change - the other wireless settings remained as before. So I'm not sure that would explain it. I've turned off auto-provision just to be sure though!

Just in case anyone has this issue, it doesn't seem to have happened since turning off auto-provisioning, so that seems like the prime suspect.

Thanks admin for the help!
