Viewing local web server was created by the pit
I've set up port forwarding and have dynamic dns I can access the web server by typing in www.sheffieldweather.net
However I can't access it on the local network if I use the web address not even if I use vpn. Any ideas or just stick to the local ip address?

It should work; it's called NAT loopback. Can you access it by public IP address?

Use LAN DNS in Applications >> LAN DNS / DNS Forwarding to capture the DNS request and redirect it to the local IP address of the web server.

If the router management port is on the default 80 then you may need to move it to a different port number System Maintenance >> Management / HTTP Port.

Ah, you are on virgin media. Maybe your virgin media router stopping this?
