Yes, the DNS override exists on the DHCP or static wan/internet settings but NOT on PPPoE/A. Trouble is that most people use PPPoE/A.

The DNS override may exist in the DHCP WAN settings (I'm a virgin user as well), but it doesn't appear to work- or I'm doing something wrong!
Here's my WAN setup.

The online status shows that I'm still using the virgin media servers

If I setup Lan3 to use the OpenDns servers, and select "Force router to use DNS IP address settings specified in Lan3" the Wan status becomes

And here's my Lan1 (primary) LAN setup

Renewing the DHCP lease on the local client . .shows that there are only two DNS servers, the OpenDns servers.
Not sure if I should put the router IP in the LAN1 setup so that I get local resolution on the LAN using the router (without using the FQDN).
I'm wondering if it might be easier just to run a dnsmasq service on the LAN, either using an old router or a Pi
