I have a 2830n which has been running for several years using ADSL on WAN1. In anticipation of obtaining a fibre internet connection, I have bought a Vigor 130 modem and attached it to WAN2, with the ADSL connection for the time being now going to the 130 modem. Connection to the internet via the modem is working OK. The problem is that the 2830n keeps rebooting itself at random. Sometimes not for several hours, other times several times a minute (as observed from the front panels lights).
The WAN settings are for PPPoE using a static IP address.
Disabling the WAN1 settings made no difference.
Reinstating the original set up (ie. WAN1 enabled, WAN2 disabled and ADSL connection into socket on router) has resulted in a stable router.
Current Firmware Version: 3.6.8.4_db_232201
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Mike
