There is a new firmware update listed as critical for the Vigor 130. ( v 3.7.9.4BT )

It is a disaster , I have had to remove it.

I am connected to an ECI cabinet , the usual synch is the full 80/20. Having flashed the new firmware the modem took more than 10 minutes to re-connect and the synch speed has dropped along with the reported max. attainable rate.

During today the connection has dropped 5 times in 6 hours. I have never once seen a line drop on this connection in over 3 years. It was also noted that performance while using the internet was erratic with speed fluctuations on web pages.

While reading the router log the line dropped out again so I have gone back to the previous firmware version and so far the line is stable.

Seems the firmware has not had sufficient testing before release.

Which firmware had you used prior to the upgrade?

That new f/w has very minor differences to the previous formal release and none relating to modem/connectivity as far as I know so perhaps you were moving from a much older f/w ?

No, as I said it was the previous release I was using , ie. Firmware Version : 3.7.4BT

That is what I reverted to and the line has been stable since then.

I never saw a single issue prior to flashing v 3.7.9.4BT

I've asked and they don't think anything changed but I'd get in contact with support, send them the logs etc. as they'll be able to compare properly.

I've had no issues with all my 130's since the update
